Kiss Records »

Seeing Kiss live was an unbelievable spectacle. Their live shows were designed to shock and dazzle. And they succeeded. Their records are becoming hard-to-find collectibles.

When I first started collecting Kiss albums, in the mid 90's, their records were fairly easy to find. A garage sale or used record store would usually yield some good finds. But, with the advent of the Internet and the growth in collector websites, this is no longer true. Building a complete set of Kiss albums in fine condition is a near impossibility. So many of them have been played to the nub or fallen into disrepair.

Pearl Jam Records »

It was 1992 when a friend of mine first bought a record. Not a compact disc, not an iTunes track, and NOT a band's "digital book." A 12" by 12" vinyl record. I remember squinting at his new, fledgling record collection and thinking, "What on Earth?"

We were in high school and records were nowhere to be found ---except maybe in our parent's attic. Records, it was thought, were for past generations ---not us! The Eagles, The Beach Boys, or The Beatles, after-all, were associated with records ---not The Replacements, The Goo Goo Dolls or the Pixies.

That was before Pearl Jam.

Kiss Custom-Made Doll »

Kiss fans are famous for creating their own collectible category. One of the best examples of this is the custom-made Kiss figure dolls. These can often vary in size but creations in the form of actual 1:6 scale custom figures are customary.

Figures and their faces are often meticulously sculpted and made to genuinely reflect a respected era of "kisstory". You can find custom creations that are 100% pose-able bodies. The dolls celebrate an era in the bands history and are sculpted in the likeness of each member to fully bring them to life.

Guitar »

Guitar collecting is a rich man's game. Not many people can afford to build a collection of guitars. BUT, buying collectible guitars is something entirely different. Collectible guitars are guitar's with a distinguishing element not found in mass-produced guitars. These can be custom-made guitars, or guitars modeled on a theme or event.

The Cure »

The Cure are an English rock band that formed in Crawley, West Sussex in 1976. The band has experienced several lineup changes, with frontman, guitarist and main songwriter Robert Smith—known for his iconic wild hair, pale complexion, smudged lipstick and frequently gloomy and introspective lyrics—being the only constant member.

The members of The Cure first started releasing music in the late 1970s. Their first album, Three Imaginary Boys (1979), and early singles placed them as part of the post-punk and New Wave movements that had sprung up in the wake of the punk rock revolution in the United Kingdom. During the early 1980s the band's increasingly dark and tormented music helped form the gothic rock genre. After the release of Pornography (1982), the band's future was uncertain and frontman Robert Smith was keen to move past the gloomy reputation...

Neil Young »

100 Yuan Bill, Front
Neil Percival Young OM (born November 12, 1945, Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and film director.

Young's work is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and signature falsetto tenor singing voice. Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments—including piano and harmonica—his style of claw-hammer acoustic guitar and often idiosyncratic soloing on electric guitar are the linchpins of a sometimes ragged, sometimes polished sound. Although Young has experimented widely with differing music styles, including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music throughout a varied career, his best known work usually falls into either of two distinct styles: folk-esque acoustic rock (as heard in songs such as "Heart of Gold", "Harvest Moon" and "Old Man") and electric-charged hard rock (in songs like "Cinnamon Girl", "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)").

Rolling Stones »

The Rolling Stones are an English band whose music was initially based on rhythm and blues and rock and roll. Formed in London and having their first success in the UK, they subsequently became popular in the US during the " British Invasion" in the early 1960s.

The band formed in 1962 when original leader Brian Jones and pianist Ian Stewart were joined by singer Mick Jagger as lead vocals and guitarist Keith Richards, whose songwriting partnership later contributed to their taking the leadership role in the group. Bassist Bill Wyman and drummer Charlie Watts completed the early lineup. Ian Stewart was removed from the official lineup in 1963 but continued to work with the band as road manager and keyboardist until his death in 1985.

The band's early recordings were mainly covers of American blues and R&B songs. Their 1965 single "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" established The Rolling Stones as a premier rock and roll act.
